Why LightCare?
The sun’s ultraviolet rays can damage corneas and cause eye-related diseases like cataracts. Sunglasses should always be worn outdoors and 100% UVA and UVB protection is the best choice for coverage.4 Wearing blue light-filtering glasses indoors helps combat digital eye strain from digital screens and fluorescent lighting. With LightCare, members can use their frame and lens benefit to get nonprescription eyewear from their VSP network eye doctor.

How it works
LightCare encourages members to visit a provider for an annual eye exam. Members visit a VSP network doctor and choose to use their frame allowance either toward regular glasses and lenses, non-prescription sunglasses or non-prescription blue light filtering glasses from their DeltaVision provider’s frame options.
