Scholarships
At the Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation, we believe that investing in the education of future oral health professionals is essential to improving access to quality dental care and addressing oral health disparities. By funding dental students who qualify, we support the next generation of leaders who will play a critical role in promoting oral health and wellness in our communities.
Dental Hygienist Scholarships
The Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation created $50,000 scholarship endowments at four schools providing dental hygiene education:
- Old Dominion University
- Northern Virginia Community College
- Virginia Western Community College
- Wytheville Community College
Our goal is to support dental hygiene students and keep them in Virginia upon graduation. Those interested in applying for a scholarship can do so at one of these participating educational institutions.
George A. Levicki, D.D.S. Endowed Scholarship
The George A. Levicki, D.D.S. Endowed Scholarship was created at the VCU School of Dentistry in honor of former CEO and founder, George Levicki, in 2018. The scholarship recognizes qualities in a dental student that Levicki brought to Delta Dental of Virginia.

The Delta Dental of Virginia Foundation Endowed Scholarship was established in 2013 through the Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Dentistry. The scholarship provides financial support to dental students who hope to practice in chronically underserved areas of the commonwealth after earning their degrees.
